Everyday Makeup Menu

I guess you could also call this my everyday makeup. Most days I use these products if I don't enough time or i just want to have a slightly toned down look.

MAC Matchmaster Foundation 2.0 - I've read some negative reviews on this particular Mac foundation online but in my opinion it's really worth the money. I'm really fussy when it comes to picking my foundation as my skin is extremely delicate and one wrongly picked product can cause so many blemishes on my skin. However this didn't break out my skin, it has really good coverage, doesn't feel cakey/heavy on my face (most foundations -even light covarage ones - feel too heavy on my face) and since it's a matte foundation I don't have to use powder after I put it on so it's a plus for days when I have to do my make up in a hurry.

Bobby Brown Creamy Concealer Natural Tan - This concealer is just perfect! I can't praise this product enough! I've heard so many youtubers and beauty bloggers talk about this concealer and I just had to try it and it is perfect. It has great coverage but doesn't feel heavy, it doesn't crease under your eyes and it stays put all day. It's perfect for under your eyes but you can use it for your blemishes as well. The only problem for me is that even though the shade is perfect for my under eye area when I use it on my blemishes or dark spots it doesn't match my skin and looks slightly darker. But for your under eye area it's the best concealer you can ever use.

The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer - To be honest, I was really scared of bronzers at first because whenever I tried to use a bronzer to contour my face it just looked like I fell in a muddy pond. But with the right bronzer and the right brush after a while I "mastered" it a bit. This might not be the best bronzer in the market but it definitely gets the job done. It's great when I use it on my temples and use a tiny bit on the hallows of my cheeks to contour my face. It's nicely pigmented so you have to be careful when you use it and use it delicately otherwise if you use too much or put it on harshly your contour looks muddy. But after contouring my face I dab it on the pallet once again just a bit and use it to bronze my entire face and I definitely get the result I want.

Clinique Blushing Blush Pink Love - This is one of my favourite pink shades. It's very pigmented so you have to be careful not to over use it because you just look feverish if you overuse it. But if you use it moderately it gives you the healthiest most natural blushing look. It's also slightly shimmery so you don't have to use a separate highlighter with this product because it gives you just the right amount of shine. The only thing I'm not very fond of is the packaging. I love the mirror because it's really handy in outdoors situations but the tiny triangle part where the product sits is too small and narrow in my opinion.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick 02 - This is my favourite pink shade at the moment. It's on the darker tones of pink and makes your lips pop. It's not too neon so it doesn't pop too much but it gives great colour to your face. It has a creamy texture but doesn't feel oily on your lips and oh my does it last long! I wear it early in the morning before I go to class and I don't have to reapply it for almost 6-7 hours. It's amazing how long lasting this lipstick is.

Not in the Photo;

Maybelline Volum Express Colossal Smoky Eyes Mascara - Maybelline's mascaras are my favourites at the moment. I've tried so many high end mascaras but their Volum Express mascaras just do the job better for my lashes. This particular one is definitely my ultimate favourite aside from the Falsies mascara because I don't have a problem with the length of my eyelashes but even though they're semi-long they are not thick enough and it looks like I have very few eyelashes. When I use this mascara it gives my lashes amazing volume and it just looks very thick and it gives me that slight cat eye look. I can just use this mascara on my eyes and nothing else and it will still look like I made an effort and used more products on my eyes.

So these are the main products I use on my face while doing my day makeup. Depending on my mood I will change the lipstick colour and add some more products like an eyeliner or eyeshadow but most of the time this is it.

Semi-Colons, Broken Walls

I don't enjoy letting people into my life. And I don't advise others to let people in either. It’s dangerous. You let the them see the most sacred part of yourself. They have to power to look deep into your soul after you give them the permission to do so. They can know your greatest dreams, darkest secrets and your deepest fears in life. But the second you allow them into your personal space, they have the power to do whatever they want. Oddly enough, they always choose to do the one horrid thing that is worse than any other; they leave.

Everyone leaves you at some point. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, willingly or unwillingly, at the end they all leave. Back when I was naive and innocent, when I believed in happy endings, I let so many cruel people in and the ending was always as cruel as the previous one.

The story is always the same; someone supposedly different from the others approaches and decides to get to know you. He gives you these positive vibes but doesn’t have the courage to pursue any further so he just drags you along. Lets you feel like you’re actually happy with that person, that you’re really going to have a continuation this time. You think to yourself “maybe this time he wont leave, maybe I finally found someone who will stay.”
But no! As always something happens that is unknown to me to this day and they decide to leave and just stop being a part of your life. Just like that. No solid explanation, no apologies, no nothing. As if the person they left behind is supposed to go on as if nothing happened, as if they haven’t happened. You can’t ask for a reason or be sad that they left because of the complications, because you don’t want to show weakness so you just try to carry on with your life with the impact they have made on your life. Someone once again broke your trust. Gave you another reason to build up walls around your heart. Just as God put flaming swords around the tree of life to protect it from humans, you put up walls around your heart to protect yourself from getting emotionally hurt. And each time someone breaks down those walls and leaves you again, you have to start from scratch, build all those walls again, this time even stronger because the last time they were apparently too thin.

So my advice to you is not to get attached. Just don't do it and save yourself the heartache and the trouble of all the healing process. I’m not saying be alone your whole life but do your best to protect yourself, be a hundred percent sure they’re worth it before you let them in. Be strong because humans are attracted to weakness. The second they see a fragile little person they stick their nose into your own little world and they break your heart. And we all know how much of a bitch that healing process is.

Am I In Narnia?

How time flies!

I can’t believe I started university three weeks ago! It’s been such a whirlwind. I don’t know where to start; the friendships, the classes, the campus!

First of all i want to say that i feel like I've made the right decision when i picked my major. I have always loved English but now that I’m actually studying English Literature I realize how much I actually love the language! We have four core courses and two free elective courses. The first class everyone in the university has to take is a class called “Humanities” (HUM 101) and to be fairly honest, it’s my least favorite class. I like history but as soon as it becomes a responsibility I suddenly hate the entire subject. I just don’t like memorizing all that information and it’s not even about our major so I don’t understand why we have to take it. Plus my teacher has the worst English accent and most of the time I have difficulty understanding him… My favorite class is “Literary Genres” (ELIT 107) which is basically what we learned in Turkish Literature in high school but in English which makes it so much better and it’s more in dept. I’m also the best in my class at the moment in this subject so YAY ME!

We have “Introduction to English Literature” (ELIT 101) in which we study the history of England and English languages development. There’s “Introduction to Western Literature” (ELIT 105) and we read and discuss important literary works such as “The Epic of Gilgamesh”, “The Bible”, etc… These were the core courses. I also got “Creative Writing” which is a class where we write about a given topic one lesson and then read it out loud to the entire class the next lesson. I really wanted to take this class as I want to improve my writing skills and I feel like it will help immensely. Lastly I took “Italian” (AFIA 101). It was a sudden decision, I knew I wanted to speak a third language but I wasn’t sure yet and when my advisor asked me if I had a language I wanted to learn Italian just came out. We’ll see how that turns out.

The campus is HUGE! It’s beautiful which has 5-6 main buildings and a lot of caf├ęs in it. There is a huge forest-like place where there are tables to sit which is our go to place when we have some free time. The only thing I whine about is that I have to walk so damn much since the campus is this big and our classes are in different buildings.

Oh God! The friendships! It’s been going so well! I have all the friends I loved from high school and on top of that I met 10 amazing new people on my first day! It was so surprising because I expected awkward conversations and lonely breaks on my first weeks but all of us connected super fast and we all love each other, share so much in common and just have fun together. I really want to write a blog post just for this topic alone because I know if I start talking about this the entire post will be like fifty paragraphs longer… oops. But just know that I’m really happy with all the friends I’ve made so far and I hope I will be friends with them throughout university. Fingers crossed J

...Is Anyone There?

Hello there!
I'm officially a college student! I still can't believe the day has come. I was so sick of my high school years and couldn't wait to go off to college but at the same time I always had this voice in the back of my mind telling me I wouldn't be able to go... Hah! suck it you stupid little voice!
As I was saying, I'm now officially a college student and there were many things I planned on doing once I was in college. One of them was to start a blog. I kept planning it but I never actually did anything about it because I was too nervous it would be a train wreck. I do this all the time, I avoid doing things because I think I will just make a big mess of myself. however, I will push myself to do more challenging things in college and this is one of the many reasons I'm creating this blog. I want to document my adventures in college, my thoughts, memories, fears, tears, laughs... everything! I want to look back in four years and read the first posts and see how much I've grown since then. I want to share my experiences with others and maybe communicate with others experiencing the same things as me.
I hope you join me on this little journey because I'm looking forward to fully living the next 4-5 years of my life.
Thank you for reading.

 Have a wonderful day!
