Zoella Beauty | Creamy Madly Dreamy & Makeup Bag

I am a huge fan of Zoella. I have been for over 2 years and hearing about all the good things she's achieving right now just makes me so proud of her. She has worked so hard to get here and now that she's at the top she is working even harder and looking fabulous while doing it. I felt so happy about her new pamper range and I ordered some of her stuff on FeelUnique as soon as it was out.

Photo Credit; Zoella
Lets talk about the whole range for a second. She has a Fizz Bar which is shaped like a chocolate bar but it's a bath fizz and the reason I didn't get it is because I unfortunately have a shower in my house instead of a bath and I wouldn't have been able to use it. She has a Body Mist(Blissful Mistful) which apparently has the same smell as the fizz bar and the lotion. It has a fruity, fresh scent and the packaging is absolutely adorable. I really wanted the mist but unfortunately they can't ship it to Turkey as it's a liquid. The range includes a lovely Candle (Let's Glow) which is essential for a pamper evening and again the packaging (which is very important) is so cute. It seems quite small compared to other candles but nevertheless it still looks beautiful. It was out of stock on FeelUnique which made me very sad. The range also includes a Bath Soak & Shower Cream (Soak Opera). She has two big Makeup Bags. One of them is blue with light pink polka dots and has Zoe's eyes on it. The other is a pink one with the same polka dots in white but this one has a cute guinea pig on it with glasses! Lastly she has a Body Lotion (Creamy Madly Dreamy) which is huge(160 ml) and just looks adorable with the lace details and the rose gold writing.

Onto what I ordered;

I got the Body Lotion which is 160 ml and looks huge. I was expecting it to be the size of a hand cream but I was wrong and I'm so glad I was since this won't end that fast. It has a fresh, fruity scent to it and is perfect for mornings I think. The product sinks into your skin very fast and doesn't make you feel sticky which is great. It just wakes you up and makes you feel very fresh.
On the packaging the product is described as;

"Totally tempting dream cream for a smooth and silky body. Fresh and girly, this indulgent body lotion will pamper your skin with a gorgeously scented creamy cuddle. Enriched with Vitamin E, Aloe and Shea Butter to soften and condition the body because your skin needs a bit of love too!"
Even the product description is adorable.

The other item I ordered was the Blue Makeup Bag. It is huge so it's great for when you're travelling or even for storing your daily makeup. I love how it's long enough for brushes as most makeup bags are too short and I can't fit in my brushes. I love the fabric and the colour of the inside. It is beautiful in general and Zoe's eyes at the front just makes it even better(felt a little creepy saying that...).

So these are the products I ordered from the range. I'm so proud of Zoe for everything she has achieved. She has been an amazing role model for both me and her other young fans. I hope she is happy with her range as much as we are and I hope there will be more things to celebrate on her behalf. She is also releasing a book soon which is even more exciting so if you'd like to pre-order it you can do it by clicking here
You can get the products from FeelUnique or from Superdrug. All the products are very cheap as they are all £5 aside from the mist and the Makeup Bags which are £8

Skincare Routine | Before Bed

Until recently I never had a skincare routine. I was just too lazy to follow all the steps every single night and taking my makeup off and going to bed sounded much easier.

However, now I have a small routine of my own and I can definitely see the difference all the products make. I can feel how much smoother my skin is, I have close to no break outs and I feel amazing on the inside. So without further ado here's my night time skincare routine :)

First of all, I take off my makeup with Superdrug Facial Cleansing Wipes. They are incredible in my opinion. I tried a lot of wipes before and they all left a greasy feeling on my face and the oil inside them didn't take off my makeup properly. This one just takes off a lot of my makeup, doesn't leave an oily feeling on my face and apparently it also cleanses, tones and moisturises your face. It's quite cheap as well(99p). I think it's a win.

After I get rid of most of my makeup with the wipe I use Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and exactly 4 cotton pads to get rid of the rest of my makeup and fully cleanse my skin of the dirt that is left off. I use a cotton pad on the whole face, use one for my left eye, one for the other eye and a last one to go over the entire face one last time. It sometimes feels oily to me so I just splash some water and wipe my face. It is pretty amazing when it comes to getting rid of all your makeup and this goes a very long way. It retails for £3.33 for 400 ml which is a bargain.

After I take off all my makeup and fully clean my face I use this beauty; Enozone Anti Acne Lotion on my blackheads and pimples. This is actually from a start up company my dad works with and I'm so glad I got to encounter this product. It is a lifesaver when it comes to pimples. You can spray it all over your face or use it on a cotton pad(I prefer this) and when I have a spot I want to focus on the most I just use a cotton bud and apply it to that area. The pimple goes away in almost 24 hours which is more than what I'm asking for. The only downside is that once you use this you can't put on anything for an hour otherwise it won't work. So I have to use this an hour before I use my moisturiser.

I have been loving this product. This is Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum and it works as an enhancer. I use it before my moisturiser and it helps your skin feel younger and gets even more hydrated. I first saw my mom using this and as I got more into looking after my skin I saw a lot of bloggers use this as well and thought I'd give it a try. I definitely don't regret it. The formula is great and in addition to its awesome features it has a very good scent to it. It's more on the pricey side with £69 but worth every penny.

Lastly I moisturise my face using either of my favourite moisturisers which are both from Clinique. I first started using the Moisture Surge Intense which was very good and left my skin feeling very hydrated and fresh but I recently got my hands on the Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion and it is by far the best moisturiser I've ever tried. This made the most difference to my skin. I never noticed how dried up my skin was before I started using this but after a couple of days I touched my face in the morning and my face felt so soft and fresh you wouldn't believe it. It makes my skin feel so healthy and I just absolutely love it. I definitely recommend it and once I run out of the tester I'll get the full size in a blink.

So this is my current skincare routine and I'm completely happy with both the products and the results. As someone who finds it very hard to keep up a routine, seeing the difference all these products make I never forget to apply them each night. Hope you enjoyed this post and if you have a must skincare product please tell me in the comments. I would love to know and maybe try them out :)

Blackheads 101

I have read quite a lot this week about blackheads and I felt it would be appropriate to share what I've learned with you. There are some old things I already knew of and some that I learned which were pretty interesting. So I hope this will be a little helpful to all those who are annoyed with their blackheads as well.
A little disclaimer beforehand; If you're looking for a post which is all scienced up and has very technical terms, this is not the post for you I'm afraid. I'll just touch on some general facts as I've never been good at science :D

  • Blackheads are caused by your hair follicles getting clogged.
  • They are most common around the nose but they can also appear on someones chin, ears, back and shoulders/arms.
  • They can range from a yellowish colour to black. They don't always have to be black.
  • The difference between a blackhead and a whitehead is that the whitehead is underneath the skin. When the area is open(blackhead) the oil reacts to oxygen which turns it brown/black. Like when you bite an apple and leave it outside, it turns brown.
  • Contrary to popular belief a blackhead is not dirt. The main action is going on under the skin so if you're cleaning your face daily it's not because your face isn't clean enough.

CAUSES
  • Food doesn't have an effect on blackheads. Unhealthy, sugary or oily foods aren't the cause of your acne.
  • As I said, the action goes on under your skin so not cleaning your face enough isn't the source either. On the opposite, if you cleanse your face more than necessary it might irritate your skin and worsen your blackheads.
  • It's proven that smoking can worsen blackheads.
  • Touching your skin a lot during the day may also be the cause.
  • In some cases over-using foundation, sunscreen and moisturisers can also create blackheads as you block your pores and create a surface for a blackhead to develop in.
HOW TO STAY AWAY FROM BLACKHEADS
  • Wash your face twice a day; when you wake up and before you go to bed.
  • Look for cleansers, exfoliators and other products that contain salicylic acid, glycolic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Exfoliators with these ingredients work more effectively than usual exfoliators with a grainy texture.
  • Clean your phone and your laptop(any gadget you use daily) daily. Otherwise the dirt and oil on the gadget will be on your face.
  • Try keeping your hands away from your face. This is something I do a lot, I always touch my face or rest my head on my hand and that is just the first ingredient for a blackhead recipe. Stop.
  • Try using makeup and skincare products that are water-based and oil-free.

I hope this helped you in the tiniest way, I'm not the skin expert of the blogging world but there are certain things we should all remember to do to have a clean unclogged face :D
If you have any thoughts on the subject feel free to tell us in the comments and also if you have any tips on how to get rid of them. Have a lovely day :)

Essence PureSkin Purifying Nose Strips

I was never quite bothered with my blackheads. I do occasionally squeeze them but I never used a specific product to remove them. I tried a nose strip when I was 12 but it wasn't that effective so I figured all the strips were the same. That was until I tried the Essence PureSkin Purifying Nose Strips (look at me talking as if I'm in a commercial...).

Essence's PureSkin range came out recently and I decided to give the nose strips a whirl first. The range is specifically designed for younger girls with very budget friendly prices. The strips were €1.89 which is a complete bargain.

It comes in a tiny envelope-like case which contains 3 strips. On the back it says it is designed to unclog pores, remove excess out and lift away blackheads. It also states that if you use it on a regular basis, it will prevent new blackheads. Quite a bold statement to make in my opinion.

As I said, the pack contains three individual strips which are also packed as shown above. You just tear it from the top or bottom and you are left with this;

The strip is stuck on a clear rectangular paper and to apply all you have to do is;

  1. Make sure your nose and your hands are clean
  2. Slightly wet your nose
  3. Pull off the strip from the plastic
  4. Place it on your nose
  5. Rub it on your nose
  6. Wait 15 minutes
  7. Rip it off gently
  8. Wash the excess.

One thing you have to remember is to not remove it in one go. You have to do it slowly and definitely don't do it from one side. Pull off the right side first, then the left side,  for the bridge of your nose remove it from the bottom pulling upwards. That is more effective and I learned that after my second try.
If you use that method you are left with almost %70 of your blackheads looking disgusting on the used strip. I couldn't believe I had those tiny disgusting things blocking my pores. You are then left with open pores and a very smooth nose :D

This is from my first try in which I only pulled it from one side. As you can see, on the left which is where I started to pull got all the blackheads but the rest wasn't so effective.
I definitely recommend this product and I will try other products from the PureSkin range as soon as possible.

I have read quite a lot beforehand about blackheads so I'm thinking about writing a whole post just about blackheads and what causes them/how to get rid of them. Do tell if that's something you would like to read about.

Thanks for reading. Have a lovely day :)

Top 5 Autumn Lipsticks

Most bloggers start this post with either saying how sad they are that summer is coming to an end or how excited they are that fall is near. I however do not know which side to pick. I was always the girl who counted down until it was summer, I was sad when I had to pack away my shorts and my summer dresses, I always loved summer a lot more than fall and winter. However, this year my summer was very hectic and I had to deal with loads of things so it didn't go as planned. I'm pretty sure at the end of this month everything will fall into place more and I will be able to breathe again.

All that rambling was supposed to be the introduction paragraph for my autumn lipstick picks... I realise it doesn't seem like it yet but bear with me. I love wearing lipsticks during summer and the good thing about a tan is that I don't need any base products or blusher, I just put on my lipstick and do a liner and I'm done. I do think lipsticks look so much better on paler skin tones though. That is why I can't wait until my tan wears off so I can wear my Top 5 Autumn Lipsticks!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss 107
Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss 20
MAC Satin Finish in Rebel
Maybelline Color Sensational in Glamorous Red
Nars Pure Matte Lipstick in Mascate

I love wearing a bold lipstick when it's colder and these five lipsticks are my go-to lipsticks for many reasons. They all have very great pigmentation, all of them are opaque, very good colour pay off. The formulas are not drying for me. There are 3 shiny/non-matte lipsticks which are Kate Moss 20, MAC Rebel and Maybelline. All of them stay very well on the lips for a long time and especially MAC leaves a stain on your lips even after you take off the lipstick which is pretty amazing in my opinion. The matte ones are obviously a lot more stronger when it comes to the staying power. I love the shape of the Nars lipstick since it makes it so much easier to apply without needing a lip pencil(which is something i never use.). Mascate and 107 are pretty a like when it comes to their shade but Mascate is a few shades lighter. I know people mostly go for darker colours during winter times but I love the dark pink colour of Rimmel's 20. I already wrote a review of MAC Rebel which you can read here. Another different shade is the Maybelline one. As others are more red and pink shades, this one stands out to me. It has red in its name but instead of red it has more of a dark brown feel to it. Kind of like a similar version of what Kylie Jenner wears... tad bit darker than that though.

These are my go-to lipsticks during autumn. What are your fall staple lipsticks? Let me know in the comments, I'd love to know and maybe try them out :)

MAC | Rebel

I'm usually the kind of person who thinks for ages before purchasing something from a high end brand. This includes MAC. I love their lipsticks but my lipsticks are mostly from the drugstore so I rarely go in to get a lipstick. A few days ago, whilst I was out with my friend we decided to go into MAC 10 minutes before closing time. She was looking through some blushers and I took my place in the lipsticks stand. I was stuck between Heroine and Rebel and when she told me that we had several minutes left I instantly thought "Rebel is more wearable" and went to the checkout. I don't regret it one bit.

I don't have loads to say about the packaging as it is the usual bullet shaped packaging of MAC. I do love the look of it though. It just looks so sleek and chic. I even feel satisfied when I see others MAC lipstick collections where they have 20+ of these little bad boys all lined up. So simple and beautiful.

It is a gorgeous dark purple pink colour with a satin finish. It goes on like a dream and lasts for hours until you have to reapply or touch up. I think you can work this colour in both winter and summer times. It looks great with a tan and it looks more toned down. During colder times though, especially if you're pale, I think it will look perfect. I love it when people with fair skin wear darker colours on their lips. It looks so beautiful. I honestly can't wait until my tan wears off so I can wear this every single day. I love the colour that much!

Overall, this lipstick easily made its way into my favourite lipsticks. Next time you're in MAC I'd definitely suggest you have a look. The colour might seem scary to some but I can assure you it's not as bad as it seems.

What is your favourite MAC lipstick?

Concealer Hunt

I'm quite fussy when it comes to concealers and i have to say until recently i hadn't found my holy grail concealer. The first concealer i tried was the Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer which was alright but it wasn't the best and since it was also a highlighter which looked terrible in flash photos. However now that I'm better at makeup then i was 2 years ago, I think I might give it another go as it would look good to brighten up my under eye. Just not on any spots or blemishes.

Hate using stock photos but i currently don't have the product.

I then went for Maybelline Dreamlumi Touch Highlighting Concealer which was again good but still wasn't what i was looking for and it creased under my eyes after a certain time. Also it wasn't the best at covering spots. At this point, I realise now that the problem was with me for picking two highlighting concealers instead of a matte one.

In 2013, around the time of my graduation i went on a hunt to find the perfect concealer and after reading thousands of reviews and watching tons of youtubers rave about it, i settled on the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer. It was amazing! It was creamy, covered up everything from spots to dark circles and only creased a little. If you used just enough, it almost didn't crease at all. I used it for a good 6-7 months and then i ran out of it. I went to the Bobbi Brown counter to get a new one and i had limited time so i just told them to color match by looking at my face (IDIOT). I thought i got the exact same shade but turns out i got Warm Beige instead of Natural Tan. It wasn't a big deal though because it was even a better match for my skin. Plus the shade wasn't that badly matched. The problem i had with it was that it wasn't as creamy as the first pot. I don't know if that's even possible but i felt like something was off and that the formula wasn't the same as the last one. I got it from the exact same store, it was the same name; "Creamy Concealer" but it just wasn't the same texture. So slowly i stopped using it and just used my Nars Tinted Moisturiser as a concealer and set it with powder. Overall the Creamy Concealer is a wonderful concealer, I just don't know why those two pots felt so different. Maybe it was my skin? I'll never know.

When i went to Boots a few months ago though, i instantly went to the Collection counter and looked for the concealer. After hearing only good things about the product, I knew I had to try it. They only had the shade 3 which seemed a little dark for me so i decide to go to another store and check all the colors. On my last day in London i went to another Boots and again(!) they only had the shade 3. I color matched on my hand(I'm just an idiot when it comes to color matching) and decided to pop two tubes in my shopping bag. I would've gotten 5 tubes but they had 2 left. That's how confident i was about this concealer.
I started using it and i have to say; It is everything i look for in a concealer. It conceals perfectly, it is not cakey, it doesn't crease under the eyes(although it brings out my lines after a few hours, not exactly creasing though..), it is exactly my shade, it is very light consistency, doesn't feel sticky when you apply it and dries to a semi matte finish. It is perfect in my eyes! I'm already thinking about what I'm going to do once i run out of those two tubes! It's that good!

Have you found the perfect concealer for you yet? What is it? Any future recommendations for me?

Mini Blog Sale Haul

It was just another day for me, going through some blogs when i found MissMakeupMagpie's blog and saw her latest blogpost which said "MASSIVE BLOG SALE - PART TWO". I was very intrigued and went through all the products and the prices and i thought to myself "this is heaven!". I found some amazing products and added them up, changed them to my currency and i thought it was a complete bargain including the shipping.
Now, im not someone who orders things online all the time so i really debated going through with it. Especially since i read somewhere that "apparently having makeup shipped internationally is illegal in Turkey". Which sounds completely insane in my opinion but i also read that if you write something else on the parcel such as "cosmetic brushes" they wont look inside. I kindly asked Gemma to write it on my parcel and she agreed. It was a very smooth process basically and she was lovely and sweet in her emails and i was very happy with my purchases. It did take a while to get here but once they arrived i was a very happy girl. Here are the bits i got and my thoughts on them;

Topshop Lipstick in Nevada;

I have to say i'm not the biggest fan of nude lips. I much prefer a colorful lipstick but as i've tried two other topshop lipsticks and know how good their formula is i thought i'd give it a go. The first time i recieved the parcel i just got back from a vacation so i had a very recent tan going on. When i tried the lipstick i looked horrible! It literally erased my lips. After a few weeks passed my tan faded and the lipstick slowly grew on me. I sometimes mix MAC's See Sheer or Shangai Spice and it looks slightly darker which suits me better. All in all i'm really happy with this purchase especially since we cant get Topshop Makeup in my country.

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Fuchsia-Ristic;

I love lip products which look like the Chubby Sticks. They just look so pretty and are very practical in my opinion. This looks like such a bright color when you look at it but when you swatch it or wear it on your lips it's quite sheer. It's not a products that doesn't have any color pay off but it is just very very sheer. You can build it up and it gives off a pinky tone to your lips which looks great during spring-winter times. It also gives off this shine to your lips and basically makes them look like you're wearing lipgloss. Now i'm not a fan of lipglosses so a lip bullet which makes you look like youre wearing a lipgloss but doesn't feel like a lipgloss is a win for me. I'm now thinking about getting other shades of it in the future. It is quite oily though so if that sort of feeling bothers you i suggest you stay away from this one.

Me Me Me Blush Me in Coral;

This was the product i was most excited for! I love blushes and i love Benefit's Blushes solely because they are in a box. I sadly don't own a Benefit Blush yet but i think this makes up for it. It is a very orange toned blush with shimmer in it so i don't think you'll need any highlighter on top of it. It is very pigmented, I honestly wasn't expecting it to be this pigmented. It is such a beautiful color and since i didn't own any coral/orange toned blushes this was a perfect new add to my collection. Also, can we please talk about how cute the packaging is? The box itself is just adorable and the little detail of the cherub inside is just so beautiful. I wish i saw the Me Me Me counter when i was in London.

Overall i'm very happy with all three of my purchases.There are still some items left on her blog so be sure to check it out. Maybe you'll find something for your liking. You can go to the post from HERE.

Faux Nails

Be warned; you will be seeing my tiny, bitten, ugly natural nails in this post. But at the same time you will be seeing long and pretty nails as well!

  I was never fond of my nails because i'm a picker. I cant help myself. Whenever my nails or the skin around my nails have a part sticking out(even the tiniest bit) i scratch and scratch until my entire manicure is ruined and i feel very insecure about showing my hands to people because i feel like their response to seeing my hands will be "ew".

   A few weeks ago i was i was in the local drugstore and i came across the nails isle! I never checked that part of the store because i just wasn't interested in nails that much to invest in anything nails-related. Mostly i just check out the nail varnishes and go my own way. This time the fake nails cought my attention. I joked to my friend about this and we had a few giggles and then she went on her way. But when i actually thought about it i decided it wasn't a bad idea at all. I quickly grabbed the best looking packaging and got it. I didnt buy it secretly but apparently i was in such a rush that my friend had no idea i got it until after we were home.
I put them on and at first they looked horrid! After my tiny nails, my hands looked like they jumped out of a witch movie. I decided that just filing them wouldn't he enough so i trimmed them a little using both scissors and nail clippers. I gave them a round shape and then filed them.

VoilĂ ! There you have strong, good looking nails. Then all i had to do was to put on a nail varnish and i was good to go. I opted for Essie's Sexy Divide which is a gorgeous dark purple with shimmers in it which gives your nails dept.

They last for a very long time in my opinion. I took them off and reaplied them for 4 times and they are still reappliable. I never tried to take off the nail varnish though because i'm scared it will damage the nail. This box has 40 nails in it but some of the nails are too big for me so i mix them with other nails. It comes with its own glue and the glue holds the nails for up to 24 hours and then the nails sometimes breaks off but you can easily reapply the nail that came off. I think it's such a practical and easy way to get good and healthy looking nails. Definitely worth checking them out. They're really cheap as well!

Have any of you tried fake nails? What are your thoughts on them? Are you as impressed with them as i am?

Sleek MakeUp Face Form Palette in Light

I must say when i was in Boots the brand i was most excited to see was Sleek! I heard so much about the brand(mainly their blushers) from almost every single British beauty blogger/vlogger.
I knew i wanted to get their Contour & Highlight Kit and try out their blushers. Two of the blushers i wanted were Pixie Pink and Rose Gold. Now imagine my excitement when i found out they had a new palette which contained both the bronzer, the highlighter and the Rose Gold blusher!

The Face Form Palette contains every bit that you would need to do your face make up. Each item is incredibly pigmented, I love the bronzer as it's very pigmented but is quite easy to blend so it looks quite natural on your face. I love the highlighter for when I'm using a matte blusher and want to have a bit of a glow on my cheeks. It is also very good for your cupids bow and your brow bone as well as an eyeshadow. The blusher! I honestly can't find the right words to describe my love for this blusher! It's pigmented, glowy, gives just the right amount of color to make your cheeks pop... It is perfect in my opinion. A lot of people compare it to Nars Orgasm but I think color-wise this one is slightly better than Orgasm! As the blusher is quite glowy on its own i don't use the highlighter on top of it but as i mentioned i use the highlighter for other purposes.

The packaging is smaller than i expected as everyone compares the products to Nars products i expected the sizes to be similar as well but the size is just right as you can fit the palette anywhere you want. I'm pretty sure the palette is smaller than my phone which is saying something. The packaging is also very durable, chic and is very simple looking which i like.

***

I would definitely recommend this palette to everyone! If you feel like the colours don't suite your skin tone you can try out their other shades as they came out with 4 different ones; fair, light, medium and dark. It was £9.99 in Boots and it is also available in Superdrug.

British Drugstore Makeup Haul Pt. 1 (Lips)

As i said in my previous post i've recently been to London for a week. During my time i had a lot of fun seeing the sights in London and doing all the touristy things but one of the things i was most excited about was shopping! And not just any shopping; Drugstore makeup shopping!
I know it sounds a bit mental but as a girl who loves makeup and has learnt so much from british "beauty gurus" on youtube not having certain makeup brands in my country drove me crazy. So when i went to Superdrug and Boots i went a little nuts.
If i put all the things i bought in just one post it would be a massive blogpost no one would want to read. So i will split them into 3 parts! Lips; Superdrug and Boots. The reason i'll put Lips as an individual post is because most of the products were lip products as i'm quite obsessed with lipsticks i bought quite a lot of lip products.

First off i want to start with two of my favourite lip products from this haul which are the Topshop Lipsticks in Infrared and Brighton Rock

Brighton Rock; I love pink lipstick and this is a gorgeous matte bright pink lipstick! It stays on for hours without any need for a touch up which is a massive plus but also i don't know if this is an actual thing but it makes my skin look so much better. Not as in it hides blemishes and spots but the color of my skin just looks so much better with this lipstick and just compliments my skin tone. I love it.

Infrared; This lipstick is a velvet finish one unlike Brighton Rock but it looks lovely on every skin tone in my opinion. I got this almost 2 months ago when i was very pale and it just made my lips pop in the best way and now i have a strong tan and it still goes on perfectly and looks incredible. It is a BRIGHT orange! I never owned an orange lipstick before and the main reason i got this was because of Zoella. I'm so thankful that i did. And thank god i didn't put it back when i swatched it on my hand at the store. The photos don't do this lipstick justice; in real life the orange is ORANGE! I was very scared to buy it but it doesn't look as scary on your lips. Definitely a future favourite!

Infrared-Brighton Rock

I guess i should go with the favourites theme. My second favourite lip product i indulged in was the Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Exotic Island. Alright so i actually meant to get 3 of Tanya's lip glosses; Picnik in the Park, Afternoon Tea and Exotic Island. However, I've been to 3 Superdrugs and none of them had Picnik in the Park or Afternoon Tea. And they were having a 3 for 2 whilst i was there so each time i couldn't find the two my heart broke a little. In the end i went ahead and got Exotic Island and had to say goodbye to the other two :(

Exotic Island; This seemed very purply pink on the swatches i saw online and that was the main reason i wanted to try it. It isn't as purple as i expected it to be but it is a purple-pink shade with blue undertones. It has a sheer finish but you can build it up to a quite opaque finish. Especially if you put a dark pink under the gloss it does give you more of a purple lip look. I'd definitely recommend trying that as it looks very flattering. The smell of it is also very sweet and sugary but it isn't that strong that it would irritate anyone with a strong nose i believe...

Lastly i got the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Unapologetic. I went to the Revlon counter and stood there for hours thinking "Do i really need anything from here? I know they released matte liquid stain things but is it really worth it?" Then i saw these. I swatched them all and in my opinion this is the best shade in the collection. It is definitely not a subtle lip color. It is completely matte and still makes your lips look very moisturised!

Unapologetic; This is a matte balm stick that has pink and coral undertones. I know the packaging looks very orange in the photos but i can assure you that it is just the crappy lighting and the color is in fact very pink/coral. It is very comfortable to wear on your lips and it is indescribably pigmented. The only downside is that if you've ever used the Clinique Chubby Sticks the twisting part on Revlon is quite weak so once you started twisting it it feels like you broke something at first because it isn't supposed to be that "easy to twist". Aside from that i think this a very good formula for a matte lip product and i now wish i had all the other colours.
